Joachim Holger Waldemar Christian, born the 7th June 1969. Baptized in Århus Cathedral 15th July 1969. Confirmed in Frederiksborg Castle Church 10th June 1982.
Son of Queen Margrethe 2nd and Prince Henrik.

Prince Joachim attended Krebs School 1974-81, 1974-76 as private at Amalienborg and from 3rd grade 1976 at Krebs School. Then Ecole des Roches, Normandiet, France, 1982-83. Student from Øregaard Gymnasium 1986.
Prince Joachim has an agriculture education from The Classenske Agerbrugskole Næsgaard 1993.

Prince Joachim has a thorough military education:
Recreut in Dronningens Livrigiment 1987. Sergent in Dronningens Livregiment 1988, lieutenant of The Reserve 1989. Head of platoon in Prinsens Livregiment 1989, First Lieutenant of The Reserve 1990, Captain of The Reserve in Prinsens Livregiment 1992.
Employed by A.P.Møller in Hong Kong and France 1993-95.
Owner of Schackenborg Castle from 1978.

Member of honour of:
The Society for promoting Noble Horse Breeding, Hereford Association for Denmark, Int. Fèdèration Cuisinier exclusive d’Europe s.V., Christian 4th Laug in Aalborg, President for The Association Tøjhusmuseet’s Friends, Extraordinary member of Frederiksborg og Omegns Fugleskydningsselskab of 1899, member of honour in Aarhus Borgerlige Skydeselskab.

Alexandra Christina, princess of Denmark. Born 30th June 1964 in Hong Kong. Daughter of Richard Nigel Mansley and Christa Maria Manley (born Nowotny).

Children.
Nikolai William Alexander Frederik, born 28th August 1999, baptized the 6th November 1999 in Fredensborg Castle Church by Royal Konfessionarius Christian Thodberg.
Felix Henrik Valdemar Christian, born the 22nd July 2002 at The Main Hospital in Copenhagen. Was baptized the 4th October 2002 in Møgeltønder Church by Royal Konfessionarius Christian Thodberg.

Menber of Honour of Copenhagen Zonta Club I, Honourable member of Danish Primula Club, President of Honour for UNICEF Denmark.
